hi, i know it`s the same dasy but i forgot to add to my other post!
I now have a cell phone!  Which came freee with a plan but now wheni call my host mom and a few other exchange students it is free! i love it and it costs $350 pasos ($40 canadian) a month!
One of things that i really miss about terrace that i never realised was that i could always go and buy fudge (maple fudge to be exact)! There is none here! I haven`t found any yet.  But my host famiuly is going to take me out to try Muegonos which are supposed to be really good!
The icecream here has soo many different falvors (mango, lime, coffee, cheese, strwberries! Yeah i said CHEESE!) and the juice too has many flavors! (but not cheese yet).  I have to say though i absolutley love the food here and i must learn tocook at least one dish before i come home!
I want to learn to cook this kind of red rice which is just delicious!
hope to read your comments or e-mails!

hi! sorry i haven`t writen in a while things got really busdy. I now have part of my school uniform so i hope to add pictures to facebook again for all those who want to see.  The rotary picnic was sooo much fun! it was great to see everyone again!  we now have all of the exchange students in tehucan who are comeing and it comes to a total of 12 exchange students!  We are seperated into two different school.  5 (including me) in the school i go to, and 7 in the other.  There are 3 exchange students from the US (one is from alaska!), 2 from Germany, 1 from Hungary, 1 from Brazil, 1 from Denmark, 1 from Taiwan, 1 from South Korea, and 2 (including me) from Canada! (the other exchange student is from quebec).
At I don`t understand any of the classes ( but i hope to very soon!) except for math, science, english, art, sprts, and french. i still try and keep up with my homework though in hte other classes and in my class ther are very nice and try to explain things to me and help me!
I play volleyball at school and was invited to join a volleyball team.  I am very rusty but i hop eto be able to prctice lots and become better.  i am also looking into mabey joining the school soccer team for girls (if there is one) to help me keep fit and also because i love the sport ( but not as much as volleyball).
My spanish classes are going well bt i got a little nervous when we were told that there was going to be a test at the end of september!  We tried to convince the teacher that the begining of October was much easier to remember than the end of september but it didn`t work.
I went to Puebla (the capital of my state) tro get my imigration stuff done but we have to go back again to fill out more papers because i don`t have a tourist visa, a student visa or anything.  When i came in to mexico and went through immigration all that they gave me was a small slip of paper and then they stamped my pasport.  On the way back i felt soo bad because i saw people selling puppies, as in little baby dogs, on the highway to cars that were stopped becasue of a toll booth!  But every car had their windows rolled up and didn`t look at the people and went right on by.
At my home i have 2 dogs, a chihuahua adn a blonde lab, a tabby cat and some fish in a pond.
The mall here is a lot bigger than the one at home in Terrace but i tried to order food and i forgot that i had to order in spanish so me and my friend had a little bit of trouble with the language barrier there but besides that everything was all right. i love the stores here but i`m making sure i only buy things (if i buy things) that are perfect or i REALLY want.  The other thing i spend my money one besides clothing and shoes adn whatnot is candy, i make sure to always have a stash of at least one chcolate bar hidden away in a secret place!  I love the food here and my family but sometimes i just need to grab a bit of a choclate bar and slow down.

hi everyone!!
my weekend went well! i had a rotary picnic adn got to see all my exchange student buddies again!  We gotto try some great food and i was offered this awesome looking fried taco thing and once i had eaten it and said it was good i found out that it was pig brain inside!! Well now that i have eaten it i`m fine but it really did taste good! (wierd!) i found out that there are 5 trips offered to the exchange students.  3 of which are paid for!  The other too are trips in which ALL the exchange students are allowed to go to ( meaning exchange students from all over the country!)  Today i go and get my student visa and a cell phone!  The roatary highly suggests getting a cellphone as a means of keeping track of everyone but also to help us!  Everything here is reall cheap but i`m finding i like all the really expensive stufff!  What a horrible curse to fall in love with luxury!!   I`m having fun and today get to skip school and go to puebla to get my student visa! YAY!  I have some of my uniform but not all of it yet so i`ll take a picture and send it to you guys!
i miss oyu all!!

Saturday August, 23/2008
Hi!
This is my first post and my first blog so I`m really excited!
This is my 8th day in Mexico and I am doing well.  At first i had lsot my luggage which made me VERY stressed out but now i have it and everything is going well.  school started for me on the 18th of August and school runs from 7:00am until 2:00pm.  My host mom, Rosa, and my host father, Jesus (pronounced Hesus), bith came to pick me up from  the airport on August, 15th along with Luis Migel ………(sorry i forgot his last name).  I was really lucky adn was seated right next to Vanessa from the Sunshine coast who is now in guadalahara (i think thats how you spell it).  I was soo happy tonot have to travel alone!  I`m finding it a little hard to make friends since i can`t speak very much spanish at all!  But the rotary club has set up spanish lessons for all the exchange students.  They seperated us into two classes, those who could speak more spanish and those he needed to be taught from the very beginging.  I`m in the ‘needs to be taught from the very begining’ class.  I`m friends with the exchange students that are in Tehuacan dan there are many of us! I think 9 all together but 2 still haven`t shown up.  There is another girl from Canada here! she is from quebec (i think) adn we really get along.  Today i have to go and buy the white socks and black shoes for my uniform and a cell phone.  Tomorrow there is going to be a Rotary picnic so I am very happy about that and interested in being albe to meet all the members of my local rotary.
I found out that there are five trips offered to exchange students three of which i don`t hve to pay for travel.  I`ll try to find out more for my next post!
Byes! Adios!
