I left tehuacan today to go to puebla.  the first part of my trip to Las Estacas!  Karoline had come down with a stomach illness so we were all happy to see her when she showed up at the bus staion. A rotarian gave us our tickets and money to buys ticket to come back once we got to Puebla.  I was seated beside allina and we had a blast listening to music and taking pictures and talking.  It was soo fun!  Alina had lent me her book called “How to Be Canadian” and i can´t wait to get started on it!
Once off of the bus we met with a few peope who lead us to a bigger gropup of exchange students and families!  Me and Laura were paired up to be staying together at a rotarians house.  The father told us we might want to sleep but both me and Laura wanted to get out and do something.  One of the fathers daughters came home and invited us to go bowlin gwith her and her friends and we happily agreed!  We doidn´t get home until about 1am and then we talked for 2 hours or more!  We had to wake up the next day at 4:30 to be ready to go by 5:30 so we went to sleep.

I was in full mexico clothing with a mexican soccer shirt and earrings an a hair clip and face paint.nad right after the Hurricane we went in these spinning things and i didn´t feel perfect after that. After wards we went to the food stalls i got these ice craem bars but htey had ime ice cream in them!  They were amazing! Almost all the exchange students were there at the party!  Later in the night there were fire works and a guys was dressed up witha bull head and had fire works attached to him and would chase people! I didn´t think that was safe but i was told that it is tradition!Eventually they started playing music i could dance to and a lot of peopel began dancing and it was soo much fun! can´t wait to get my pics on facebook!

Yesterday i was really pumped and was listening to my upbeat music to get me going for my first volleyball practice for my school.  I was really excited adn now I feel really let down. The practice was supposedto start at 4:30 so i showed up at 4:20 and the coach didn´t even get there until 4:50 is and the other didn´t get ther until about 5:00 or 5:30.  The pracrtice was slack comparred to what I am used to in Terrace.I am Finding that i am not as fit as i usred to be anymore and am growing a belly.  i want to do something to fix that but i don´t like walking around by my self here (because of the looks and whistles and stuff) so i wont startt running the block anytime soon.
After volleyball I got homeand Mom and Dad called me and told me that my dog Mac had died that after noon and so i was really sad and began to cry a bit while talking with them.   Dad and mom said that he died peacefully adn that dad took him to the vet and they gave him his shot and he was realxed and calm before he passed away.  we talked about how things were for them and what they were doing adn about what they were going to send me in my carepackage adn then we said good-bye.  After wards i took a shower and i have only cried so hard once before when my Great Uncle Alastair died. So i couldn´t get much sleep and went off to school today with red eyes and kinda messy hair and i was reminded at school that we had school photos today. wow. I can´t wait to see those.  when i was coming home from school i had a flash back of mac and got all teary eyed again.  But now I am going to try and keep smiling.

Today i was really bored in school and i had to tell three different teachers “No Entiendo”.  It makes me feel like a bad student and kinda stupid but i know i will learn in time and with practice.  As my host dad keéps telling me ” Poco a Poco”  or in english I think it translates into “Little by Little”. I am trying to decide on a name for the black bear stff that mom got me before I came to mexico ( I haven´t slept without it yet !) I´m trying to decide between Blackie or Brian or mabey something spanish sounding.  And i have called the white bear that i got from my host mom when i came of the plane to mexico Blanco!  It says “Te amo” when i press the foot which means ” I love you”!  I´m really behind in my spanish class compared to the other students because now i am in the spanish class with the people who have had classes for 2 or more years in spanish at school. So i need to practice, practice, practice and do my homework!

Spetember 6th/2008

On the 4th we went to the movies ( all of the exchange students). adn we watched a REC which was in spanish and really scary. Pkay not really scary but scary enough and it was a bout a virus that would effect you if you were bitten and how the closed of this whole building to keep it contained and they wouldn´t tell the people inside what was going on and the virus turned you into a vombie flesh eating disease carrier!  And it was really creepy and in the end everybody died and the last two remaining people were a journañist and her cameraman and they got everything on tape adn thats how you saw everything was through the camera.  At one point the electricity to the building was cut and they couldn´t see anything but the camera had night vision so they had to use the camera to guide them.  They found out that the owner of the bulding was tryign to creat some thing and then they found what he was making and it was so creepy and UHGG!  After that i went home and watched the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and a bit of Troy with Meche, our nanny, and Jesus, my dad, until 1:30am. On the 5th I went to see high School Musical El Desafío!  Its a spanish High School Musical!  With Mexican actors, director, and staff! A toally mexican High School Musical! it was fun! I want to buy it when it comes out in DVD!  They acting was kinda bad but most of the songs were fun!

Well yesterday I sprained my ankle playing soccer during the 2nd break.  I tripped over a big green hose and flipped my ankle.  Its healing but its still huge.  I was invited to be on the school voleyball team but for now i can´t play!  I was very sad :( I have 13 classes.  5 of which I understand; ED Artística; Deportes; Matématicas; Inglés; Francés y Química (Art, sports, math, english, french and chemistry).  I´ve got my cell phone and i am happy that i went for one with a plan so that it is free to call my host mom and some of my friends because they are with the same company.  I still don´t have any post cards :(All of the exchange students are now here! Ashley ( from South Korea) and Kevin (from Taiwan) are here now! Ashley goes to my school and kevin goes to the other.
I got in trouble at school.  I was watching the movie “Blood Diamond” (in spanish of course) for Individuo y sociodad and me and a few of my friends didn´t hear the bell go and we were all late for our next class which i was sad abgout because it was art!  There were about 20 of us adn we were all not allowed into the art class because we were late but we went and got a note from our other teacher saying that we weer not rtying to skip class and he let us into the class.
